GAN announces Board of Directors changes

Supplier GAN has announced a number of changes to its Board of Directors. 

Firstly, Seamus McGill will step down from his role as Chairman of the Board, while continuing in his role as Interim CEO, with David Goldberg assuming the role as the Chairman. 

McGill will focus on guiding the company on a timely closing with Sega Sammy Creation, a deal that was announced in November, with Sega Sammy set to acquire GAN. 

Also, David D Ross,black jack 21 has been appointed to the Board of Directors, bringing with him 35 years of experience in the gaming and hospitality industries, as well as backgrounds in capital markets and M&A. Ross will serve as the Chairman of the Audit Committee. 

It was also announced that Michael Smurfit had informed GAN of his intention to step down from his role on the company’s Board of Directors, effective 31 December 2023. 

Goldberg said: “It’s an honor to be elected to serve as GAN’s next Chairman and lead the Company toward a successful transaction close with Sega Sammy Creation Inc.” 

Smurfit stated: "With the strategic review now concluded, I feel that now is the appropriate time for me to step down from the Board of Directors. I am fully supportive of the transaction with Sega Sammy Creation Inc. and look forward to a timely closing.” 

Ross added: “It is a privilege to be joining GAN’s Board of Directors during such a pivotal time in their history.” 

In other appointment news today, tribal operator Mohegan announced it had expanded its corporate executive team with strategic appointments and internal promotions.
